Po river stretch 16 km (8 upstream and 8 downstream), between Vittorio Emanuele I Bridge (Murazzi) and the Cavalieri Templari (Ponte Rosso) Bridge of  Moncalieri.   The race takes place inside Valentino and Vallere Parks.

Natural environment, flora and fauna make the Po a unique experience within a large city.   The water quality is great as all discharges upstream of Turin are collected by a collector network (Consorzio Po Sangone, established in 1975).   Waste water is treated by SMAT in Gassino Torinese Plant, the largest in Italy.
